Job summary

Daydream Island Resort & Living Reef in Queensland is seeking a dedicated Demi Chef to work under the Executive Chef and Head Chef, preparing and cooking menu items to a consistently high standard and contributing to an exceptional dining experience for guests.

You will work a live off-island day shift, collaborate with a closely-knit kitchen team, maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene and presentation, and bring creativity and flair to every dish while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar Demi Chef or Chef role, preferably within a hotel environment.
• A genuine passion for food and hospitality.
• Excellent personal presentation and a strong eye for detail.
• Highly developed organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
• Proven ability to deliver quality and consistency to the highest standards.
• Creativity and flair with a commitment to continuous improvement.

• Preparing and cooking menu items to a consistently high standard
• Ensuring all dishes are presented with care, creativity and attention to detail
• Working closely with the Executive Chef, Head Chef and wider kitchen team
• Maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene and presentation
