Job summary

Opal HealthCare is seeking a Demi Chef for our Bella Vista Gardens residence in the Hills District, NSW. You will prepare nutritious, high-quality meals and support resident dining experiences under the guidance of the Head Chef.

We welcome applicants with Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery, current Food Handling or Food Safety Supervisor certification, and kitchen experience. Flexible, permanent/full-time, part-time and casual roles are available, with opportunities for development

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery.
• Current Food Handling Certificate or Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to complete pre-employment medical and checks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver nutritious meals for residents.
• Ensure meals meet dietary requirements and preferences.
• Maintain high standards of food presentation, quality and service.
• Support meal service in line with kitchen schedules and standards.
• Collaborate with Head Chef and hospitality team.
• Keep kitchen clean, safe and organised.
