Opal HealthCare is seeking a Demi Chef for Mornington Bay Care Community to support kitchen leadership and create high-quality meals for residents. This role offers permanent full-time, part-time, or casual opportunities with a 7-day rotating roster and flexible shifts.

You will assist the Head and Sous Chefs, ensure food safety, and contribute to menu ideas, while pursuing growth through the Opal HealthCare Academy. Competitive hourly rates plus penalties and superannuation apply.

Qualifications

• Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
• Willingness to obtain a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious, high-quality meals meeting resident dietary needs.
• Support the Head and Sous Chefs in daily kitchen operations and food service.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
• Lead kitchen sections and develop supervisory skills.
• Contribute ideas to menus to enhance dining experiences for residents.
