Job summary

Village Roadshow Theme Parks is seeking a passionate Demi Chef for Sea World Resort, Main Beach, on the Gold Coast. You will join a fast-paced kitchen team delivering high-quality meals and memorable dining experiences for guests.

role requires a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, prior Demi Chef or similar experience, and a strong focus on food safety, teamwork and guest satisfaction. On-site kitchen with fantastic perks and development opportunities await.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
• Experience as a Demi Chef or in a similar role.
• Passion for food, teamwork and delivering great dining experiences.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures.
• Knowledge of dietary requirements and allergen handling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes to resort standards.
• Own your section and ensure smooth, efficient service.
• Collaborate with Chef de Partie and kitchen team for smooth operation.
• Cater to dietary requirements with care and confidence.
• Mentor apprentices and junior kitchen staff.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
• Contribute ideas and energy to deliver top dining experiences.

What You'll Bring to the Table:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and relevant commercial kitchen experience
• Experience working as a Demi Chef or in a similar role
• A genuine passion for food, teamwork and delivering great dining experiences
• The confidence to work independently while being a supportive team player
• A solid understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures
• Knowledge of dietary requirements, allergies and intolerances, with the ability to prepare and plate meals safely
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic and desire to keep developing your culinary skills
