Responsibilities

• Lead and drive the delivery of Allianz Finance transformation initiatives across Finance, Technology, Data and Group stakeholders.
• Deliver major ERP/Finance system transformations with a focus on end-to-end outcomes.
• Orchestrate data and reporting transformations, including integration of source systems and regulatory reporting.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to establish priorities, sequencing and delivery governance.
• Manage external partners and vendors, including RFI/RFP processes and commercial engagement.
• Provide hands-on delivery while maintaining strategic oversight and ownership of issues.

About the role

The primary purpose of this role is to lead the delivery of major AAL Finance Transformation Projects including an ERP GL replacement as part of a global transformation Program. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving major finance transformation.

The successful candidate must think beyond technology delivery and beyond the ERP/GL implementation itself, ensuring broader business transformation outcomes, stakeholder adoption, and long-term finance performance uplift.

• Lead and drive the delivery of AAL’s Finance transformation agenda, working across Finance, Technology, Data and Group stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience delivering major ERP / Finance systems transformation, with SAP S/4HANA experience highly desirable, including an understanding of finance processes, general ledger, consolidation and reporting.
• Experience delivering Finance data and reporting transformation, including integration of source systems, finance data platforms and downstream regulatory/management reporting.
• Relevant experience in Australian financial services industry, with General Insurance experience highly desirable.
• Ability to translate Finance strategy and business outcomes into a clear transformation roadmap, delivery priorities and executable initiatives.
• Proven ability to operate effectively within a large, matrixed organisation, navigating competing priorities and dependencies across business, technology, data and Group/global teams.
• Strong senior stakeholder management, with the ability to engage and influence Finance and Technology executives, functional leaders and governance forums.
• Experience managing strategic delivery partners and vendors, including RFI/RFP processes, commercial engagement and delivery oversight.
• Comfortable operating in an evolving transformation environment, with the ability to bring structure and direction where scope, sequencing and dependencies continue to develop.
• Able to combine strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery, taking ownership of issues and driving initiatives through tangible outcomes.

About you

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and industry accreditations where necessary.
• Extensive experience in project management, insurance, or financial services.
• Proven track record leading large-scale IT and business transformation change programs.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills, with business and financial acumen.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact, and influence.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, utilising data-driven insights for decision-making.
• Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders to establish strong professional relationships and influence outcome.
