Job summary

Allianz Technology in Sydney seeks an IT Delivery Lead on a day-rate contract. The role delivers major projects and programmes across Allianz business units, developing detailed plans, governance and milestones while coordinating diverse teams including vendors.

You will lead stakeholders, manage change, and negotiate favourable commercial terms, ensuring projects meet scope, time and budget objectives in a complex insurance environment.

• 10+ years’ experience in a project management role in a complex matrixed general insurance or financial services organisation.

About the role

The primary purpose of this role is to deliver effective project management services for major projects and programs of work run within or across AAL business units and assist stakeholders to identify, develop, design, implement and monitor business improvement projects.

Deliver large complex projects and business improvement initiatives in accordance with scope, time, resource and budget constraints.

Develop detailed project plans in line with AAL project management methodologies, tracking and reporting progress and risks to ensure that the project meets agreed timelines and budgets.

Deliver all governance, financial and milestone updates within agreed timelines.

Identify, escape, manage and resolve project issues, risks and dependencies by working with stakeholders across project teams and the wider business.

Lead the analysis of opportunities including utilisation of tools, data analysis, process analysis, and cost-benefit analysis to influence and inform decision making across the project lifecycle.

Facilitate coordination amongst various stakeholders across business and project teams to ensure the smooth delivery of the project.

Manage diverse project teams consisting of delivery partners, internal resources, and vendors located in multiple locations.

About you

10+ years’ experience in a project management role in a complex matrixed general insurance or financial services organisation.

Demonstrated evidence of successfully leading and delivering projects within time, budget and resource constraints and sustaining outcomes.

Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders to establish strong professional relationships and influence outcomes.

Proven capability to manage change through the initiation and promotion of organisational transformation, leveraging effective process, collaboration and communication to foster commitment and participation.

Ability to manage key/complex contract negotiations to ensure favourable commercial and financial conditions for AAL, whilst ensuring mutual agreement between parties is achieved.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact and influence.
