Job summary

Central Kempsey IGA is seeking a Deli Manager to lead the Deli team and support the Store Manager with daily operations. You will oversee rostering, ordering, inventory control and QA while delivering outstanding service.

This role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced, customer‑centric environment, strong communication, staff training, and a commitment to safety and compliance. RSA is essential and you may step into supervisory duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a retail management or supervisory role.
• Strong deli/food service expertise and a passion for service.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Deli department, including staff rostering, ordering, inventory control, and quality assurance.
• Provide exceptional customer service and create a positive shopping experience for customers.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the store's strategic growth plans.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, train and develop the Deli team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
