Job summary

CAE Australia is seeking a Commercial Contract Manager based in Homebush, NSW or Brisbane, QLD. You will manage contracts, governance, and CD/DRL items, addressing disputes and mitigating commercial risks.

The role covers subcontractor management, change proposals, and export control obligations within a global aerospace and defence context. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in contract management, ASDEFCON experience, and strong communication and negotiation skills to operate in a matrix

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Contract Management.
• Experience with ASDEFCON in acquisition and support environments.
• Strong commercial management background.
• Ability to proactively solve problems and implement practical solutions for customers and business.
• Proven track record in contract management within matrix and project environments.
• Excellent communication, drafting, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Experience working in Objective (ideal).
• Legal or business discipline qualification, or equivalent experience (ideal).

Responsibilities

• Support the Program Manager in day-to-day contract management.
• Manage and maintain the Document Management System and contract configuration.
• Own and manage Contract Change Proposals and Survey & Quotes.
• Develop and administer CDRL items.
• Oversee subcontractor and supplier management.
• Manage insurance requirements with global risk management.
• Draft, guide and recommend actions to the Program Manager and Business.
• Support the business with new opportunities and continuous improvement.
