Job summary

CAE Australia is seeking a Commercial Contract Manager based in Homebush, NSW or Brisbane, QLD. You will manage contracts, governance, and CD/DRL items, addressing disputes and mitigating commercial risks.

The role covers subcontractor management, change proposals, and export control obligations within a global aerospace and defence context. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in contract management, ASDEFCON experience, and strong communication and negotiation skills to operate in a matrix

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Contract Management.
• Experience with ASDEFCON in acquisition and support environments.
• Strong commercial management background.
• Ability to proactively solve problems and implement practical solutions for customers and business.
• Proven track record in contract management within matrix and project environments.
• Excellent communication, drafting, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Experience working in Objective (ideal).
• Legal or business discipline qualification, or equivalent experience (ideal).

Role Description

We are seeking aCommercial Contract Managerto join our Legal, Contracts and Commercial Team, based in Homebush, NSW or Brisbane, QLD.

The role is responsible for the Contract Management, Governance and Control processes, including configuration management of the Contract and related Contract Data and Requirements List (CDRL) items, are complied with.

The Commercial Contract Manager is a key person for the Customers contracts team and is the first to address and resolve contractual issues including disputes, interpretation, flow-down requirements to subcontractors, identifying and mitigating commercial risks, meeting contractual requirements and the management of formal correspondence.

The Commercial Contracts Manager is also responsible for development of Contract Change Proposals and ensuring Quotations are generated in accordance with the Contract. Additionally, the role is responsible for subcontractor and supplier management, and ensuring CAE’s export control obligations are met.

Our ideal candidate has:

• Minimum of 5 year’s experience in Contract Management
• Demonstrated experience with the ASDEFCON ideally in the acquisition and support environments
• Sound experience in commercial management
• Ability to proactively problem solve and implement practical solutions for the customer, and the business
• Proven track record in contract management within a matrix and project environment.
• Excellent communication, drafting, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Experience working in Objective (ideal)
• Legal or business discipline qualification, or equivalent experience (ideal)

Security requirements
