Job summary

Business Review Group is seeking a Project Support Officer to join the Specialist Systems Team in Canberra. The role delivers day-to-day project support across procurement, governance, logistics, reporting and stakeholder engagement to help achieve project objectives.

Defence project experience is highly regarded. You will assist with PM activities, manage documents, support equipment logistics and contribute to risk management within Defence project frameworks.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-performing project team delivering outcomes.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with project team members, customers and partners.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to collaborate with project team members and stakeholders, including contractors and Defence agencies.
• Strong organisational and management skills aligned with objectives.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager with day‑to‑day project activities and procurement deliverables.
• Prepare and administer Defence Agreements and Work Orders; support invoice processing in SAP.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to support project activities, training and delivery.
• Support equipment preparation, lifting, dispatch and receipt through the Defence Supply Chain.
• Facilitate safe handover, receipt and delivery of equipment.
• Support disposal of equipment, including ITAR/export-control considerations.
• Develop, maintain and administer project plans and related documentation.
• Prepare correspondence, briefs and reports for senior delegates and governance forums.
• Assist with project risk management using Defence tools and processes.
• Undertake System Manager support duties and act in that role when required.
• Manage project correspondence, mailboxes, records and data management.
• Work collaboratively with customers, colleagues, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Undertake additional project tasks as delegated by the System Manager and Project Director.
