Job summary

Saab Australia is seeking a Project Manager to support the Combat Systems Integration - Integrated Project Team collaboration across SEA4000 Phase 6 and SEA5000 Phase 1, delivering DCE upgrades and related destroyer programs under one umbrella.

You will foster stakeholder collaboration, develop Tasking Statements, create WBS and BoE, manage schedules and cost accounts, lead status reviews, and drive value-for-money initiatives; Defence sector experience and Deltek Open Plan proficiency are

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a project management or bid management role (essential), preferably in Defence or Naval projects.
• Understanding of planning, scheduling and Earned Value Management Techniques (EVM).
• Experience in cost scheduling and reporting, and preparation of briefing packs for approvals.

Responsibilities

• Manage development and execution of Tasking Statements to cost and schedule.
• Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Basis of Estimates (BoE).
• Lead status presentations at Steering Committee Meetings, Gate Reviews and Customer Reviews.
• Prepare, monitor and revise project plans, estimates, cost accounts and schedules.
• Identify Value for Money initiatives to improve project outcomes.
