Job summary

Saab Australia invites applications for a DDG Combat Systems Engineer to support the Defence capability enhancement programs. You will work within the CSI-IPT on destroyer and frigate upgrades, contributing to requirements analysis, system architecture, and integration across naval platforms.

The role involves engagement with customers and partners, development of Engineering Change Proposals, and collaboration across Systems Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Tertiary engineering qualification or equivalent defence experience.
• Experience in systems engineering across requirements, architecture and integration.
• Maritime combat systems domain experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Undertake systems engineering tasks including requirements and architecture development.
• Contribute to physical integration of combat systems and human engineering activities.
• Support Engineering Change Proposals and design modifications for system changes.
• Support production documents: drawings, cable schedules, installation instructions.
• Assist triage of production issues, deviations and nonconformances.
• Engage with customer and partner organisations on technical discussions.
