Job summary

Saab Australia is seeking a DDG Project Manager to deliver the Hobart Class Air Warfare Destroyer combat system to the Royal Australian Navy. Working in a complex stakeholder environment, you will support project planning, coordination, reporting, and admin activities to ensure successful outcomes.

Flexible work arrangements including hybrid work from home/office and a 9-day fortnight will be considered. Applicants must be Australian citizens and able to obtain an Australian Defence Security

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' project management experience in defence or a complex project environment.
• Experience in planning, scheduling, EVM, and project governance.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Proven ability to solve complex problems and deliver practical, innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the DDG program through effective project planning, coordination, reporting, and administrative activities.
• Act as, or support, a Control Account Manager (CAM) to monitor project performance, schedules, costs, and deliverables.
• Prepare and manage project documentation, including reports, CDRLs, plans, and other contract deliverables.
• Contribute to bid and proposal activities by providing project management expertise and support.
• Identify, assess, and help manage project risks and opportunities, escalating emerging issues as required.
