Job summary

Telstra is seeking a customer-focused engineer to contribute to Defence communications and ICT services within a collaborative team. You’ll work across varied technologies, build technical capability and partner with stakeholders to deliver practical outcomes.

Based in Canberra, Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, you will operate in a regulated environment with a minimum Active NV1 clearance. You’ll be part of a team focused on continuous improvement and operational stability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in systems administration, network engineering, infrastructure support or similar.
• Exposure to Juniper, SM9, SNOW, Aruba, Jira, Confluence is advantageous.
• Strong routing, switching, troubleshooting and documentation skills; ITIL knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver minor works, infrastructure changes, deployments and remediation activities within agreed service levels.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Support release, deployment and change-management activities while protecting operational stability.
• Manage service requests and communicate progress, risks and timeframes clearly to stakeholders.
• Prepare accurate technical documentation, implementation records and customer updates.
• Maintain accurate data across asset, configuration and operational systems.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and accountable team culture focused on continuous improvement.
