Job summary

Telstra Corporation in Australia seeks a customer‑focused engineer to support Defence communications and ICT services. You will work with a collaborative team across Canberra, Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, handling network and system administration tasks in a regulated environment.

You will contribute to incident resolution, change control and documentation, while coordinating with stakeholders and maintaining operational data. A minimum NV1 clearance is required for consideration.

Qualifications

• Active NV1 clearance is essential to be considered.
• At least 2 years in systems administration, network engineering or related roles.
• Exposure to Juniper, SM9, SNOW, Aruba, Jira and Confluence is advantageous.
• It experience in Defence, government or highly regulated environments is highly regarded.
• ITIL knowledge or certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver minor works, infrastructure changes, deployments and remediation within service levels.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues, identifying root causes and fixes.
• Support release, deployment and change-management activities for stability.
• Manage service requests and communicate progress, risks and timelines to stakeholders.
• Prepare technical documentation, implementation records and customer updates.
• Maintain accurate data across asset, configuration and operations systems.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and accountable team culture with continuous improvement.
