Job summary

Randstad in Canberra seeks an experienced EL1 Project Support Officer to join the INV 5 project within Defence's IS&T program. You will progress the project schedule, liaise with sponsors and delivery leads, and provide high-level advice to senior leaders.

You will develop strategic briefs, capability plans, and artefacts for Defence committees while engaging with IS&T Enterprise for assurance and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating complex project schedules and meetings.
• Ability to draft strategic briefs and key artefacts.
• Strong writing and communication skills for senior stakeholders.
• Proven capability to manage risks and issues and coordinate governance.
• Ability to work cross-functionally across delivery areas.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate weekly integrated project team meetings to maintain momentum.
• Draft business cases, project execution plans, and risk management plans.
• Oversee the project schedule and drive stakeholder engagement.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues with relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate planning across facilities and digital aspects of INV 5.
• Collaborate with PMO, Steering Group and Governance Board for guidance and escalation.
• Fulfill broader capability management responsibilities across the Defence system.
