Qualifications

Cleared Recruitment is seeking an experienced ICT Project Manager to support the delivery of a significant communications capability project within a complex Defence environment.

• Expected Commencement Date: ASAP
• Duration: 11-months
• Hours: Full-time
• Location: Canberra - No option for remote work
• Minimum Security Clearance: NV1

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of a critical ICT-enabled capability, working alongside senior project leadership, technical specialists, security stakeholders, and Defence personnel to manage project outcomes throughout the capability lifecycle.

The Role

As the ICT Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing project activities to support capability delivery, ensuring alignment with schedule, budget, governance, security, and technical requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting senior project leadership with project planning, coordination, and delivery activities.
• Developing and maintaining project documentation, plans, reports, and artefacts.
• Monitoring project schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues.
• Coordinating stakeholder engagement across technical, security, engineering, and program delivery teams.
• Supporting procurement and contract management activities.
• Managing project governance and reporting requirements.
• Facilitating project meetings and ensuring actions are tracked to completion.
• Supporting ICT integration, accreditation, cyber security, and assurance activities.
• Assisting with change management processes across scope, schedule, and budget.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives and project delivery efficiencies.

To be successful in this position, you will bring:

• Demonstrated experience delivering ICT-enabled projects within Defence, Government, or National Security environments.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and governance frameworks.
• Experience managing project schedules, dependencies, budgets, risks, and reporting requirements.
• Knowledge of Defence procurement, financial management, and risk management practices.
• Experience working with complex stakeholder groups and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership, coordination, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Understanding of Defence ICT governance, system integration, and capability delivery processes.
• Knowledge of cyber security governance and its application within ICT projects.

Candidates with any of the following will be highly regarded:

• Experience working on Defence capability acquisition projects.
• Knowledge of the One Defence Capability System (ODCS) and ASDEFCON.
• Experience within CASG, CIOG, DDG, JCG, or related Defence programs.
• Familiarity with Defence ICT security accreditation requirements and the Information Security Manual (ISM).
• Relevant project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, CPPM, ITIL, or equivalent.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams within complex technical environments.

Applicants must hold a minimum NV1 Australian Security Clearance
