Job summary

KBR in Canberra seeks a Finance Support Officer to drive financial administration, budgeting, procurement support and reporting in a Defence environment. You will partner with the SPO to ensure financial compliance and deliver timely insights for decision-makers.

The role blends financial analysis, contract administration and stakeholder engagement in a fast-paced setting, with a focus on accuracy and governance. NV1 clearance preferred and Defence ERP experience advantageous.

Qualifications

• Formal finance qualifications are preferred.
• Experience in financial administration, budgeting, procurement or contract management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a complex Defence environment.
• Experience with Defence ERP systems and financial management tools.

Responsibilities

• Procurement & contract administration: create and manage POs and agreements; monitor commitments and assist with data accuracy.
• Financial management & invoice processing: validate invoices, process payments, maintain reports, analyse variances.
• Budget planning & forecasting: maintain budgets, forecasts, variance analyses, and support budget reviews.
• Stakeholder engagement & governance: partner with managers to provide financial advice and support; support audits and governance.
