Job summary

KBR in Australia is seeking a Contracts Administrator to support commercial management of subcontract and supplier arrangements in a Defence sustainment program in Sydney. The role reports to the Commercial Manager and focuses on subcontract compliance, risk management and stakeholder coordination.

You will gain exposure to governance, procurement and project controls within a complex Defence environment and be involved in negotiating key subcontracts and managing vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience in a similar role.
• Experience in Defence and Commonwealth finance/contracting policy and ASDEFCON contracts.
• End-to-end procurement and subcontract administration experience.
• Understanding of export controls and ITAR compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform full procurement, commercial and administration activities for subcontracting.
• Qualify suppliers, issue RFPs, evaluate proposals and maintain files.
• Develop and improve processes with guidance to junior staff.
• Lead subcontract documentation and obtain internal approvals.
• Draft and maintain Subcontractor Management Plan and related documents.
• Provide financial information related to subcontractor spend and performance.
• Support Commercial Manager in contract, procurement and financial activities and relationships.
• Coordinate with project, operations, finance and project controls.
• Contribute to negotiations of key subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Ensure alignment with export controls protocols and ITAR compliance.
