KBR in Canberra is seeking a Finance Support Officer to join a Defence environment, providing financial administration, budgeting, procurement support and reporting services. You will collaborate with the System Program Office to ensure financial compliance and deliver timely insights.

Qualifications

• > Qualifications in Finance (preferable).
• > Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
• > Experience in financial administration, budgeting, procurement, or contract management.
• > Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Procurement & Contract Administration: Create, maintain, and amend Purchase Orders and Outline Agreements within Defence ERP systems. Manage commitment tracking and aged commitments.
• Financial Management & Invoice Processing: Validate vendor invoices, coordinate timely payments, maintain reporting data, analyze variances.
• Budget Planning & Forecasting: Maintain detailed budgets and forecasts, support development and variance analysis.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Governance: Partner with Project Managers to provide financial advice and manage governance activities.
