Job summary

Downer Professional Services is seeking an experienced Commercial Officer to support the LAND program in Defence. You will work with the Commercial Manager, Project Managers and Project Director to assist contract management, procurement, governance, and supplier performance in a complex Defence environment.

You will support a broad range of commercial activities, ensuring contracts are effectively managed and project outcomes align with Defence and Commonwealth requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience applying commercial, procurement, or contract management principles in Defence environments.
• Proven ability with contract administration and management activities, ideally using ASDEFCON templates.

Responsibilities

• Support contract management and commercial activities across the LAND program.
• Monitor supplier performance against contract obligations and KPIs.
• Assist with contract reviews, variations, and procurement activities.
• Prepare procurement documentation using ASDEFCON templates and support complex procurement.
• Contribute to governance, compliance reviews, risk identification, and stakeholder engagement.
