Job summary

MPA Construction is seeking an experienced Works Manager to lead defects, maintenance and small works across our commercial fit-out portfolio in Sydney. You will coordinate subcontractors, maintain safety standards and deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.

Strong client relationship skills and a proactive, solution-focused mindset are essential for success. The role requires a trade background, Cert IV in Building & Construction, and proficiency with Procore (or similar)

Qualifications

• Experience managing defects, maintenance or small works on commercial projects.
• Trade background preferred with strong organisational skills.
• Proven ability to plan, schedule and manage subcontractors across multiple sites.
• Commitment to safety, quality and client service.

Responsibilities

• Manage defect liability period (DLP) works from start to finish.
• Coordinate maintenance requests and small commercial works.
• Plan, schedule and manage subcontractors across multiple sites.
• Provide technical guidance and practical solutions on-site.
• Price minor works and coordinate quotations.
• Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication.
• Ensure all works are completed safely, on time and within budget.
• Uphold high standards of workmanship and customer service.
• Maintain accurate reporting and project documentation.
• Champion HSEQ standards.
