Job summary

Vital Home Health Services – Sydney CBD NSW is looking for experienced Care Workers to join our compassionate team. You will provide in-home care to help clients live independently, safely and with dignity in their own homes and communities.

A current Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle are required for this position. We offer a supportive, family-oriented environment with ongoing training and development.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent.
• Current Australian driver's licence.
• Smart Phone with Email access.
• Current National Police Record Check.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Previous experience in aged care, disability, community care or a similar support role is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A caring, respectful and client-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with personal care support, including showering, toileting, and feeding assistance.
• Providing transportation and support for medical appointments, shopping, and social outings.
• Providing domestic assistance duties such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Building and maintaining strong, respectful and effective relationships with clients and their families.
• Supporting clients to participate in their community and maintain their independence.
• Reporting any concerns, incidents or changes in a client's health and wellbeing through the appropriate channels and protocols.

ABOUT THE ROLE

At Vital Home Health Services, our Support Workers provide high-quality care and support to clients, helping them live independently, safely and with dignity in their own homes and communities.

We currently have a position available for experienced Care Workers to join our effective and highly dynamic team.

A current Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle are required for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting the clients with personal care support, including showering, toileting, and feeding assistance.
