Job summary

Transport for NSW seeks a data professional to power our data platforms and pipelines, enabling better decision-making across the organisation. You will work with data engineers, platform teams, and business stakeholders to support development, automation, and operational reliability using DataOps and DevOps practices.

You will help design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines, ensure performance and security, and contribute to continuous improvement across data delivery processes.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in data analytics, information technology, statistics or mathematics.
• Knowledge and experience in designing, building, and optimising scalable data pipelines and platforms.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, expertise in DataOps/DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure data workflows are efficient, monitored, and continuously improved to enable data delivery.
• Develop and deploy new data solution pipelines using DevOps, CI/CD and data engineering processes.
• Ensure data platforms and solution applications operate to the designed levels of performance and functionality.

Join the TFNSW and help power the data platforms and pipelines that enable better decision-making across Transport. Working closely with data engineers, platform teams, and business stakeholders, you will support the development, automation, and operational reliability of enterprise data solutions, ensuring trusted, secure, and timely access to data. This is a highly collaborative role for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, driving continuous improvement, and leveraging modern DataOps and DevOps practices to deliver resilient, scalable, and high-performing data platforms.

In this role, you'll:

• This role ensures data workflows are efficient, monitored, and continuously improved to enable data delivery.
• You will develop and deploy new data solution pipelines using DevOps, CI/CD and data engineering processes.
• You will ensure data platforms and solution applications operate to the designed levels of performance and functionality.
