Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking an Asset Data Officer for the North region. This permanent full-time role focuses on accurate asset data, quality assurance, and stakeholder collaboration to support informed decisions. Based in Milsons Point with regional offices including Parkes, Newcastle and Grafton.

Key tasks include data collection, validation, and maintaining standards for data quality, formats and reporting. A driver’s licence is required and occasional travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in asset data collection, validation and quality assurance.
• Knowledge of organisational standards, metadata requirements and corporate systems.
• Strong skills in databases, Microsoft Office and asset data management tools.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and timely delivery.
• Eligible for tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
• Current and valid Australian driver's licence.

In this role, you'll:

Provide accurate, complete, and timely asset data to the business, ensuring compliance with prescribed standards, formats, and reporting requirements. You'll support informed decision-making by maintaining high data quality, coordinating with stakeholders to resolve data issues, and adapting data collection and supply methods to evolving systems and standards

You will do this by:

This is a permanent opportunity and will be based in the North region of NSW including(Parkes, Newcastle and Grafton office locations)

You're a detail-oriented professional with a passion for data quality and problem-solving. You enjoy working collaboratively with stakeholders and have the ability to translate complex information into reliable, actionable data.

You'll bring:

• Experience in asset data collection, validation and quality assurance.
• Knowledge of organisational standards, metadata requirements and corporate systems.
• Strong skills in databases, Microsoft Office and asset data management tools.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to resolve data issues and deliver outcomes in a timely manner.
• Eligible for tertiary qualifications in Asset Management, Information Technology, Engineering, a technical discipline, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
• Current and valid Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel occasionally as required.
