Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a Cloud Engineer (Optimisation) to build and maintain secure, scalable cloud platforms that support digital transformation across the organisation. The role focuses on infrastructure build, automation, monitoring and migration in complex hybrid environments while complying with government standards.

The successful candidate will optimise cloud efficiency and performance, collaborate across teams, and drive data‑driven improvements to maximise value from cloud

In this role, you'll:

support Transport for NSW by building and maintaining secure, reliable and scalable cloud platforms that enable digital transformation and efficient service delivery across the organisation.

The role focuses on cloud infrastructure build and support, automation, monitoring, security compliance and cloud migration, working in complex hybrid environments while balancing innovation with strict government standards and operational stability.

Strong experience in enterprise cloud platforms, automation and security is essential, along with collaboration, problem-solving and accountability. The role requires clear communication, continuous learning and effective use of technology to improve reliability, efficiency and business outcomes.
