Job summary

Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology in Macquarie Park, NSW is seeking a proactive Database Officer to join our Database department. You will perform data entry for the Surgical Skin Audit and work closely with surgeries and Area Managers to configure doctors and clients within our internal computer systems.

The role emphasizes strong communication, problem-solving, and a willingness to learn new computer skills. Training will be provided in a supportive environment, with regular hours Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Experience with medical terminology.
• Experience in medical centre administration/reception.
• Familiarity with Apollo LIS or similar internal systems.

Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology is an established and well-respected pathology practice offering comprehensive, high-quality pathology services across New South Wales and northwest Victoria. Our culture of Medical Leadership drives excellence in patient care and service provision for our referring doctors.

We seek an enthusiastic Database Officer to join our vibrant Database department in Macquarie Park

Hours: Monday to Friday, 10am – 6pm (with the ability to participate in occasional initial training shifts 7:30 – 3:30).

The successful applicant will be part of a small team and must be a highly motivated self-starter, with a keen interest to learn new computer skills and an ability to relate to all levels of the workforce. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Specific duties include:

• Data Entry for our Surgical Skin Audit
• Liaising with both surgeries and Area Managers to facilitate the set-up and customisation of new and existing doctors and clients on the internal computer systems
• Investigating and resolving issues for clients
• Monitoring all system printers, including large production devices, and assisting in the resolution of issues
