Job summary

The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority is seeking an experienced Data Services Manager to lead our Data Services team and manage our data environment. You will apply your expertise in data governance, data management and IT project leadership to deliver high-quality data-driven outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.

You will collaborate with the Technology and Digital Services team, contractors and partner organisations to ensure data quality, availability and compliance, and

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading data teams and delivering data-driven outcomes.
• Experience building and governing data environments with clear standards and processes.
• Strong stakeholder engagement across internal and external partners.
• Ability to translate complex data concepts into actionable insights for decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Data Services team to achieve Reef Authority objectives.
• Coordinate data services and products with contractors and service providers to meet business needs.
• Develop and maintain data governance frameworks, standards and operating models.
• Maintain the integrity, currency and usability of datasets and outputs for fit-for-purpose use.
