Job summary

Reef Authority seeks an experienced Data Services Manager to lead the Data Services team and oversee governance of the organisation's data environment. You will drive high quality data-driven outcomes for internal and external stakeholders, managing datasets, systems and tools essential to service delivery and planning.

You will work across the Technology and Digital Services group, partner organisations and a broad stakeholder network, ensuring data integrity, accessibility and compliant data

Qualifications

• Experience leading data services projects and teams.
• Ability to develop and implement data governance policies.
• Strong stakeholder engagement across internal and external partners.
• Proven ability to deliver data products and datasets with quality and compliance.
• Knowledge of FAIR data principles and metadata standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Data Services team to deliver data products and datasets.
• Coordinate with contractors to ensure timely delivery and QA of data services.
• Develop and maintain data governance frameworks, policies and operating models.
• Ensure data integrity, currency and usability of authoritative datasets.
• Provide expert guidance on data systems, workflows and technical issues.
• Manage priorities and resources to meet milestones and service delivery targets.
• Foster strong stakeholder relationships to understand needs and expectations.
