Job summary

Insignia Financial is building a modern data platform team in Western Australia. We’re seeking a Data Platform Engineer to design, build and optimize cloud-based data platforms and pipelines that empower analytics and business decisions across the enterprise.

You’ll work across data processing, CI/CD automation and platform performance while collaborating with business, analytics and technology teams. Great growth and learning opportunities on offer.

Qualifications

• Experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering or a similar technical discipline.
• Hands-on experience designing, building and supporting scalable data platforms, pipelines and data processing solutions.
• Strong Python and/or Java development skills, with experience building scalable data solutions.
• Knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing, batch and streaming data processing, along with modern DevOps practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build, enhance and support cloud-based data platforms, pipelines and data warehouse solutions
• Transform complex source data into trusted, high-quality assets that support reporting, analytics and business decision-making
• Develop and improve automated data processing, CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure solutions using modern data engineering tools and practices
• Partner with business, analytics and technology teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable, reliable solutions
• Contribute to platform performance, security, governance and continuous improvement initiatives
