Job summary

Insignia Financial is expanding its Data Engineering team in Australia to design, develop and optimise scalable data solutions on Google Cloud Platform. You will work on large, complex datasets in a cloud-native environment and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent industry experience.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services, including BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Composer.
• Proficiency in Java or Python and experience building scalable, production-grade data pipelines and applications.
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and automated testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data solutions using Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and Composer.
• Build and maintain reliable batch and real-time data pipelines using cloud-native technologies.
• Apply DevOps principles, including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and automated testing to improve delivery.
• Ensure data quality through validation, monitoring, governance controls, and adherence to engineering standards.
• Optimise data pipelines and storage solutions for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and support solutions during build, driving continuous improvements and operational excellence.
• Implement security controls, access management processes, and compliance across data platforms.
