Job summary

IOOF Holdings Limited in Australia seeks a Data Platform Engineer to build and scale modern data platforms across multiple sites. You will own data pipelines, cloud infrastructure and data warehouse solutions to empower analytics and decision-making.

You will collaborate with data and technology teams, develop CI/CD processes, and contribute to platform performance, security and governance while growing your technical expertise in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering or a similar technical discipline.
• Hands-on experience designing, building and supporting scalable data platforms, pipelines and data processing solutions.
• Strong Python and/or Java development skills with experience building scalable data solutions.
• Knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing, batch and streaming data processing, and modern DevOps practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build, enhance and support cloud-based data platforms, pipelines and data warehouse solutions.
• Transform complex source data into trusted, high-quality assets that support reporting and analytics.
• Develop and improve automated data processing, CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure solutions.
• Partner with business, analytics and technology teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable, reliable solutions.
• Contribute to platform performance, security, governance and continuous improvement initiatives.
