The North Australian Pastoral Company (NAPCo) is seeking a strategic Data & IT Manager to shape and deliver its data and technology roadmap in Brisbane and across Australia. You will drive finance transformation, enterprise data governance and AI adoption, while ensuring secure, scalable systems and strong governance across the business.
You will lead a hands-on, cross‑functional team, manage outsourced providers, and align technology initiatives with NAPCo’s priorities.

The North Australian Pastoral Company (NAPCo) was founded in 1877 and is one of Australia's leading beef cattle companies, managing over 6.1 million hectares, largest single herd in the world and home to Five Founders Beef. NAPCo employs approximately 220 staff operating across Queensland and the Northern Territory, with 15 cattle stations, a Depot in Mount Isa, a Feedlot and Farm in the Darling Downs and an office in Brisbane's CBD.
Reporting to the CFO, the Data & IT Manager will shape and deliver the next phase of NAPCo’s Data and IT Strategy. This is a strategic and hands‑on role, combining long‑term direction with practical delivery across the business. Building on our established data capability, this role will lead a whole‑of‑business approach to finance transformation, enterprise data, technology services, cyber security and the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence (AI).
With accountability for NAPCo’s enterprise systems and technology environment, the role will oversee data architecture, integrity and governance, strategic technology initiatives, and the performance of outsourced IT service providers. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, including the Natural Capital and Finance teams, the Data & IT Manager will strengthen data and reporting capability, identify opportunities to streamline business processes through technology, and ensure systems, platforms and services remain secure, reliable, scalable and aligned with NAPCo’s priorities.
You are an experienced Data, Technology, Business Systems or IT professional who can translate business needs into practical solutions and confidently lead enterprise‑wide initiatives.
You will be comfortable working across a diverse and geographically dispersed business, balancing strategic priorities with hands‑on delivery.
