Job summary

Harvest Road Group in Perth CBD is seeking a Finance Analyst to join the Finance team as the primary partner to the Beef Processing business. You will turn financial and operational data into actionable insights to drive cost performance, margin improvements and informed capital decisions.

You will partner with the COO and CCO, contributing to budgeting, forecasting and performance reviews, and supporting capital initiatives and new product development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Business/Accounting or equivalent.
• Professional accreditation (CPA/CA/CIMA) preferred.
• Previous business-partner experience in a commercial setting.

Responsibilities

• Act as a business partner to leadership on cost performance and forecasting.
• Support monthly performance reviews and identify risks/opportunities.
• Provide finance decision support for new product development (NPD).
• Prepare and deliver budgets and forecasts and assess performance vs prior plans.
• Track Capex performance and variance analysis for stakeholders.
• Develop and implement financial business process improvements.
• Provide financial analysis on all operational aspects of the Beef Processing facility.

Be a key finance partner to our Beef Processing business.

The Opportunity:

We have a full-time, permanent opportunity for an experienced Finance Analyst to join our Finance team, based in Perth’s CBD.

A key focus of this role will be acting as the primary finance support and business partner to the Harvest Road Beef Processing business.

Working closely with the Harvey Processing Leadership team, you will turn financial and operational data into clear, practical insights that drive cost performance, margin improvement and sound investment decisions across the facility.

You will also be a trusted finance partner to the Harvest Road Chief Operating Officer and Chief Commercial Officer. This gives you genuine exposure to senior leadership and the chance to influence decisions across both the operational and commercial sides of the business, from budgeting, forecasting and performance reviews through to capital initiatives and new product development.

The role:

• Act as a business partner to the Harvey Processing Leadership team to provide guidance around cost performance, analytics, Budget and Forecasting planning, capital initiatives, business performance reviews.
• Support a monthly performance review process, including the identification of risk and opportunities to deliver key operational and financial targets.
• Provision of finance decision support for NPD (new product development)
• Preparation and delivery of the Budget and forecast, including performance assessment against prior forecast/budget.
• Track key Capex performance.
• Perform actual variance analysis and present financial data to key stakeholders.
• Assist in developing and implementing financial business process improvements
• Provide effective financial analysis on all operational aspects of the Beef Processing facility.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in the field of Commerce/Business/Accounting.
• Professional accreditation (CPA/CA/CIMA).
• Previous Business Partner Support in a commercial business setting.
• A demonstrated ability to take initiative.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a desire for identifying efficiencies.
• Proven computer skills including Microsoft Office, particularly a high level of proficiency in MS Excel.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral), high level interpersonal skills and sound judgment.
• Excellent stakeholder management, ability to deal with multiple stakeholders and handle competing priorities.
• Operates collaboratively amongst a range of non‐finance business leaders.
• Demonstrated problem solving capability. Identifies issues, proactively finds solutions and sees to completion.
• Adaptable, flexible and comfortable with ambiguity.
• Excellent time management, organisation and prioritisation.
• Curious mindset.
• Successful applicants will be required to pass a pre-employment medical examination and criminal record check.
