Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Analytics or a related field.
• Strong capability in data warehousing, business intelligence, reporting and data visualisation using platforms like Power BI or similar.
• Experience managing and optimising business systems, integrations and digital solutions.
• Experience with CRM, POS, ticketing, ERP/HRIS or similar and integration of data into warehouse/reporting environments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship management skills.
• Experience working with vendors and technology partners to improve system capability and ROI.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into practical technology solutions.

National Trust of Australia (Queensland) (NTAQ) is a membership-based environmental charity connecting people with significant places, collections and stories across Queensland. NTAQ manages a diverse portfolio of wildlife and heritage destinations, including one of the Gold Coast's most iconic visitor attractions, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. As one of Queensland's earliest nature-based tourist destinations, the Sanctuary is a physical embodiment of everything the NTAQ represents: to protect, conserve and celebrate Queensland's environmental, built and cultural heritage for future generations.

As we continue to evolve our technology ecosystem and invest in new business intelligence and data capabilities, we are seeking an experienced Business Systems, Data & Automation Lead to help drive smarter ways of working across the organisation.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a systems-minded professional who enjoys transforming business challenges into practical technology solutions. Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with leaders, vendors and specialist consultants, you will play a key role in helping NTAQ realise the full value of its technology investments. As we continue to enhance our systems landscape and build our data and reporting capability, you will help connect platforms, improve data accessibility and drive greater organisational efficiency through automation and integration.

In this hands-on role, you will lead the ongoing optimisation of NTAQ's business systems, working across departments to identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve reporting and reduce manual effort. A key focus of the role will be supporting the implementation and ongoing development of our data warehouse environment, ensuring leaders have access to meaningful insights that support informed decision-making.

Using business intelligence, analytics and workflow automation tools to develop reporting, enhance processes and improve organisational performance, you will develop dashboards, automate workflows and improve the way information moves across the organisation. You will also work closely with software vendors and technology partners to ensure NTAQ continues to maximise system capability, maturity and return on investment.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery, contributing to future technology direction while delivering practical solutions that create measurable business outcomes for our people and guests. By connecting systems, improving data accessibility and driving automation, you will help create a more efficient and commercially sustainable organisation, enabling NTAQ to continue delivering on its mission of conserving Queensland's natural, built and cultural heritage.

About You
You are naturally curious, analytical and solutions‑focused. You enjoy understanding how organisations operate and finding opportunities to improve processes, reporting and outcomes through technology. You can confidently work across both strategic and operational activities, contributing to future systems planning while also delivering practical solutions that create measurable business value. To be successful in this role you will have:

Relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Analytics or a related field.

Strong capability in data warehousing, business intelligence, reporting, dashboard development and data visualisation, with experience using contemporary analytics platforms such as Power BI or equivalent tools.

Experience managing and optimising business systems, integrations and digital solutions and supporting process improvement.

Experience working with CRM, POS, ticketing, ERP/HRIS or similar will be highly regarded,, including the integration of data into warehouse and reporting environments.

Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship management skills.

Experience working with vendors and technology partners to improve system capability, maturity and organisational value.

Proven ability to analyse business requirements and translate them into practical technology solutions.

Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, innovation and data‑driven decision making.

Comfortable working in an environment which includes native wildlife such as birds and reptiles.
