Job summary

Certis Security Australia seeks experienced NV2-cleared Security Officers for a high-profile role at a major Telecommunications Data Centre in North Sydney. This permanent position requires professional conduct, vigilance and a commitment to safety in a restricted environment.

The role involves front-line visitor management, customer service and strict adherence to security protocols, with a rotating 12-hour shift pattern. A sign-on bonus of 8,000 AUD is offered for eligible full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Australian citizenship and NV-2 clearance required.
• Security Licence 1A (Unarmed Guarding) and 1E (Monitoring Centre Operator) held.
• First Aid and CPR certificates current and valid.
• Proven ability to work safely and compliantly in high-security environments.

Responsibilities

• Screen visitors and equipment entering the secure area.
• Provide exemplary customer service with administrative tasks as needed.
• Adhere to site security procedures, access control and policies.
• Identify prohibited items and manage security passes per protocol.
• Issue and audit visitor passes; update access requests in client systems.
• Conduct patrols and report hazards or incidents to regional control.
• Respond to incidents with clear written reports and logs.
• Communicate effectively via two-way radio and follow procedures.
• Maintain safety-first mindset and lead by example.
