The role involves front-line visitor management, customer service and strict adherence to security protocols, with a rotating 12-hour shift pattern. A sign-on bonus of 8,000 AUD is offered for eligible full-time staff.

Qualifications

Australian citizenship and NV-2 clearance required.
Security Licence 1A (Unarmed Guarding) and 1E (Monitoring Centre Operator) held.
First Aid and CPR certificates current and valid.
Proven ability to work safely and compliantly in high-security environments.

Responsibilities

Screen visitors and equipment entering the secure area.
Provide exemplary customer service with administrative tasks as needed.
Adhere to site security procedures, access control and policies.
Identify prohibited items and manage security passes per protocol.
Issue and audit visitor passes; update access requests in client systems.
Conduct patrols and report hazards or incidents to regional control.
Respond to incidents with clear written reports and logs.
Communicate effectively via two-way radio and follow procedures.
Maintain safety-first mindset and lead by example.

We are seeking experienced NV2-cleared Security Officers to perform a high-profile role in safeguarding a major Telecommunications Data Centre in North Sydney. This is a critical frontline role where professionalism, vigilance and integrity are essential.

$8,000 Sign on Bonus available! (for full time permanent employees payable in two instalments; completion of 6-month probation and 12 months tenure).

About The Role

The security team in this location play an important role in ensuring that the clients data integrity is always maintained. As the first point of contact for visitors and contractors entering these locations you will set the tone; delivering a professional and welcoming experience whilst upholding strict security protocols.

Contract: Permanent opportunity

Pay Rate: SSIA Level 5

Shift Pattern: Ability to work rotating day and nights shifts of 12 hours

Key Responsibilities

Screening visitors & equipment to and from the secure area.
Provision of exemplary customer service, with some administrative tasks.
Ensuring adherence to all site security procedures, policies and access control requirements
Identifying and preventing prohibited items from being introduced to or removed from secure areas
Issuing, monitoring and auditing visitor and contractor security passes in line with site protocols
Raising, updating and managing access requests using client security systems and software
Completing regular patrols of assigned areas and reporting hazards or incidents to the regional control room
Responding to, escalating and documenting incidents with clear, accurate written reports and daily activity logs
Communicating effectively via two-way radio and following command-and-control procedures
Maintaining a strong safety-first mindset and leading by example in compliance and professionalism.

About You

Mandatory Australian citizenship, due to government clearance requirements
Current NV-2 Clearance
Must have Security Licence, Classification 1A (Unarmed Guarding) & 1E (Monitoring Centre Operator)
Valid First Aid Certificate (3 years validity) with current CPR Certificate (1 year validity)
Ability to clear an Australian Police Check
Lead by example – support a safety and compliance culture
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Conflict resolution and negation skills required
Strong multi-tasking abilities
Intermediate PC skills (MS Suite)
Report writing and Site patrol duties
Excellent observational skills
Experience communicating via two-way radio
