Job summary

Fujitsu is seeking a Facilities Engineering Specialist for our Western Sydney Data Centre. This permanent role operates on a 4x12-hour shift pattern with days/nights and four days off, including a 20% shift allowance. The team provides 24x7 coverage and follows the National Access procedures.

The role reports to the Data Centre Manager and Facilities Engineering Manager. Key responsibilities include security and IT infrastructure oversight, incident management, maintenance coordination, and WHS

Qualifications

2 years of experience in a data centre or similar environment.
Understanding of structured cabling systems and cross connections.
Able to work independently and troubleshoot customer issues.
Experience with operational efficiencies and process creation/reviews.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Oversee datacentre security, access procedures, IT infrastructure, and plant maintenance.
Identify faults in the data centre environment and coordinate escalation.
Assist with regular and ad hoc maintenance and improve efficiency.
Lead incident management and review procedures.
Prepare monthly reporting on environmental conditions, power usage and SLA adherence.
Manage risk and WHS across the centre.
Coordinate with clients and service providers during maintenance.
Perform remote hands, cross connections, and remote console sessions.
Supervise subcontractors on a 24x7 basis.
