Job summary

Westpac Bank is seeking a dedicated electrical/HVAC tradesperson to join our 24x7 operations team in a critical tier 3 data centre. The role requires hands-on operation of Diesel Generators, DRUPS, BMS, UPS, and other systems with a strong focus on safety and reliability.

You will manage site operations to avoid downtime, supervise contractors, and perform complex switching with strict lockout/tagout procedures. Data centre experience and excellent fault-finding are essential.

Qualifications

• Australian and NZ electrical or HVAC trade qualifications required.
• Excellent fault-finding ability.
• Data centre or critical environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage site operations to prevent unplanned downtime of critical building services.
• Operate and monitor all building systems and plant.
• Onsite contractor management including inductions, SWMS reviews and compliance.
• Carry out complex switching operations and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Carry out load reviews and report on performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and statutory obligations.
