Job summary

STACK Infrastructure is seeking an Electrical Systems Specialist - Field Engineering to ensure safety, reliability, and performance of critical electrical infrastructure in a live data centre environment in Melbourne.

You will own UPS systems and battery infrastructure, support HV/LV distribution, manage fault investigations, and lead field engineering activities across operations and risk teams, promoting best-practice maintenance and incident response.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience with mission-critical electrical systems in live environments.
• Proven ability to author and review switching procedures and protection settings.
• Strong understanding of redundancy philosophies and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical specialist for UPS systems, batteries, HV/LV distribution, transformers, and related controls.
• Lead fault isolation, technical diagnosis, and restoration planning during incidents.
• Analyse UPS event logs, alarms, and power-monitoring data to improve reliability.
• Provide clear technical direction to operations teams, contractors, and vendors.
