Job summary

Turner & Townsend is recruiting a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead on-site client oversight for a major data centre programme in Queensland. This FIFO/DIDO role offers flexibility of location for the right candidate while ensuring rigorous delivery standards.

You will chair roundtables, manage contractor performance, safeguard the critical path and provide bi-weekly reports to the client, ensuring inspection readiness across all scopes.

Qualifications

• 15 to 20 years' total experience in project/construction management.
• 8+ years delivering data centre projects.
• General contractor background or equivalent senior site experience.
• Full lifecycle understanding from mobilisation through to construction.
• Proven ability to manage GC, EC and MC interfaces and drive accountability.
• Strong critical path management and programme recovery.
• Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
• Postgraduate qualification in Project Management (PM/PRINCE2/PMP) is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Act as the client's primary on-site oversight across the programme.
• Lead weekly and bi-weekly site visits and chair developer roundtables.
• Challenge developer and contractor performance and identify risk early.
• Protect the critical path and ensure inspection readiness across scopes.
• Produce bi-weekly site visit reports, roundtable minutes, and progress logs.
