Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Australia is seeking a Project Director for the data centre team. You will lead a multi-disciplinary group, aligning design development, permitting, procurement and construction to deliver projects on time, on budget and to high quality and safety standards.

You will interface with the client’s regional leadership and provide day-to-day management, with emphasis on pre and post-contract delivery, value optimisation and strong governance.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering major projects and programmes.
• Experience as Project Director or Construction Director in a PMC, EPCM, Construction Management environment or as a General Contractor.
• Strong focus on Quality and Safety on construction sites.
• Data Centre experience preferred but not essential.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with clients and senior management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall project management from initiation to close-out.
• Lead a multi-disciplinary team and control schedule and budget.
• Manage preconstruction activities, procurement and construction.
• Ensure EH&S compliance and quality management across the project.
• Interface with client and senior management to meet and exceed targets.
• Administer project close-out, warranties and claims.
