Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Power Systems Consultant to lead the evolution of next‑generation data centre power architectures, including HVDC and solid‑state transformers. You will engage early with consultants and end users to shape design standards and educate the market.

In this role you will translate emerging technologies into strategy, collaborate with global R&D, and support pre‑sales with future‑state architectures while building strong stakeholder relationships in ANZ.

Qualifications

• Experience with advanced power system modelling, grid integration, or power electronics technologies.
• Exposure to HVDC, BESS integration, or solid-state systems.
• Knowledge of HVDC systems, energy storage integration, and modern distribution architectures.
• Familiarity with data centre design standards and performance expectations.
• Strong ability to translate technical topics into market insights.

Responsibilities

• Act as subject matter expert for data centre power technologies including HVDC, MVSST, and hybrid AC/DC systems.
• Interpret impact of new architectures on Eaton's product strategy and go-to-market.
• Engage with consultants, specifiers, and end users to shape technical requirements and standards.
• Deliver technical education sessions (lunch-and-learns, workshops, seminars).
• Develop white papers and industry content to position Eaton as a leader in data centre power solutions.
• Collaborate with global R&D to align ANZ strategy and capabilities.
• Support pre-sales by advising on future-state architectures and designs.
• Identify customer needs and future technology requirements.
