Job summary

STACK Infrastructure is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer - Solutions Engineering to drive high-quality mechanical designs for data centre projects, from early discussions to construction and operations support. You will provide technical input to sales, develop PUE assessments, and manage consultants and vendors while aligning with STACK's design basis and customer needs.

You will also contribute to R&D, resolve operational issues, and mentor junior engineers to build STACK's capabilities

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience in complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of data centre cooling systems (CRAC/CHILLERS, cooling towers, pumps, ventilation).
• Experience in concept design, equipment specifications, PUE assessments and Basis of Design drawings.
• Proven experience managing engineering consultants and reviewing designs for accuracy and compliance.
• Experience identifying value-engineering opportunities to reduce construction costs.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical input for customer sales requirements.
• Develop concept designs for early discussions and consultant briefings.
• Develop initial PUE assessments to support site selection.
• Develop long lead equipment documentation and review vendor proposals.
• Drive updates to internal BOD drawings and schematics.
• Steer consultants to achieve compliant, high-quality, on-time designs.
• Review consultant designs for STACK BOD and customer requirements.
• Support construction via workshop-drawing reviews.
• Mentor graduate and junior engineers; support R&D of next-gen solutions.
• Provide input to operational incidents and root-cause investigations.
