Job summary

STACK Infrastructure seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer - Solutions Engineering to develop high-quality mechanical solutions for data centre projects, from early customer discussions through detailed design and operational support.

You will provide technical input to sales opportunities, develop PUE assessments, manage consultants, review designs for compliance and buildability, and mentor junior engineers while supporting R&D initiatives for next-generation designs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of mechanical engineering experience in complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of data centre cooling systems (chillers, cooling towers, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps, ventilation, control systems).
• Experience developing concept designs, equipment specifications, PUE assessments, Basis of Design drawings.
• Proven experience managing engineering consultants and reviewing designs for technical accuracy, compliance, constructability, and customer requirements.
• Experience identifying value-engineering opportunities to reduce construction costs, remove over-engineering and improve design efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical input for customer sales requirements and concept designs.
• Develop initial PUE assessments and long-lead equipment documentation.
• Review vendor proposals and drive updates to drawings and schematics.
• Steer consultants to achieve design outcomes and ensure deliverables meet customer requirements.
• Mentor graduate and junior engineers and support R&D for next-generation solutions.
