Job summary

STACK Infrastructure seeks a Critical Operations Technician to provide 24×7×365 operational coverage for data centre electrical, mechanical, cooling, and life-safety systems. The role focuses on hands-on maintenance, system monitoring, first-response troubleshooting, and contractor coordination to sustain STACK’s 100% uptime commitment.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years' experience in critical environments such as data centres or similar operational settings.
• Experience operating electrical and/or mechanical infrastructure (e.g., UPS, generators, switchgear, PDUs, CRAC/CRAH, chilled water systems).
• Hands-on operational maintenance and first-level rectification within authorised limits.

Responsibilities

• Maintain 24×7×365 shift coverage for safe operation of critical infrastructure.
• Monitor and operate electrical and mechanical systems within authorised boundaries.
• Respond to alarms and incidents, providing first-response troubleshooting and escalation as needed.
• Coordinate with licensed contractors for trade-restricted works and ensure site safety.
• Maintain shift logs, CMMS updates, and handover notes for traceability.
• Contribute to SOPs, MOPs, and risk assessments to improve uptime.
