Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a Business Development Manager (QLD/NT/Data Centres) to drive profitable sales growth across Australia. You will engage operators, consultants, contractors and network providers to win data centre opportunities, while building a robust pipeline and coordinating with engineering and product teams.

The role requires 5–10 years of managerial BD experience, strong negotiation skills and deep knowledge of the data centre sector.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in business, economics, or similar field preferred.
• 5–10 years of managerial experience in business development across data centres and related industries.
• Strong understanding of the data centre sector and market dynamics.
• Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Drive for results with customer focus.
• Commitment to self-development and continuous improvement.
• Valid drivers licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a growth strategy aligned with company sales and margin objectives.
• Manage and ensure a strong pipeline of quotes, tenders and projects across markets.
• Deliver revenue, gross margin and new-business objectives.
• Identify and track upcoming data centre developments, expansions and upgrades.
• Build relationships with End Users, EPCs, contractors and system integrators.
• Engage consultants, network architects and project managers during design stages.
• Prepare and deliver customer presentations and product demonstrations.
• Promote Prysmian data center and connectivity solutions.
• Coordinate internal resources to support quotations, samples and submissions.
• Maintain CRM records and sales forecast; provide market intelligence.
