Job summary

Amazon Corporate Services Pty Ltd in Melbourne seeks a Technical Operations Engineer to help maintain and optimize our critical infrastructure across Melbourne data centers. You will work with a diverse team to ensure safety, reliability, and cost efficiency in power, cooling, and building systems.

The role focuses on routine and emergency maintenance, rack provisioning, vendor management, performance reporting, and collaboration with IT and facilities teams to deliver scalable data center

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 4+ years of data center engineering experience.
• Experience in data center engineering.
• Ability to perform physical tasks all day.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance and emergency services for critical systems.
• Install new rack capacity and provisioning of power/cooling.
• On-site management of contractors complying with practices and legislation.
• Track performance benchmarks and maintain facility assets.
• Coordinate change management and incident tickets.
• Collaborate with IT managers to optimize plant safety and efficiency.
• Drive projects to increase capacity and build out new data center facilities.
