Job summary

Amazon Corporate Services Pty Ltd is seeking a Data Centre Engineering Operations Technician to maintain and operate the facility infrastructure at scale in Australia. You will work on diesel generators, UPS, cooling systems and building automation, ensuring uninterrupted service for critical operations.

The role offers hands-on technical growth, collaboration with engineers and operations leaders, and opportunities to shape future data centre capabilities while navigating a dynamic onboarding

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• Degree or technical certification (Military or Trade school).
• Valid and active Driver's Licence.
• 2+ years of data centre engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Review the management of routine and corrective maintenance on critical systems (switch gear, generators, UPS, power distribution, chillers, cooling towers, CRAC, building monitoring).
• Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses & reports on critical facility operations & maintenance.
• Help with design, commissioning and build-out of new facilities.
• Create and implement projects to increase facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability & reliability.
• Manage facility assets and infrastructure & inventory asset management.
• Oversee on-site management of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors ensuring compliance with standards and local legislation.
• Coordinate projects with engineering leaders to optimise safety, performance and efficiency.
