Job summary

Amazon Inc. in Melbourne is seeking a Controls Design Engineer to join the Controls Design Engineering (CDE) team and help define data center control standards for EPMS/BMS across global projects.

You will review EPMS designs, coordinate with project managers and vendors, and drive consistent engineering practices across multiple sites while supporting construction, testing, and commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant work in a data center or critical environment.
• 3+ years working with electrical diagrams, single-line diagrams, and electrical distribution systems.
• 3+ years of experience with industrial controls systems.
• Experience with power monitoring and SCADA systems.
• Experience with Modbus protocol and data center redundancy.
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate EPMS design standards across global projects.
• Review EPMS submittals and vendor proposals during bid review process.
• Create EPMS scopes of work (SOW), provide RFI support.
• Review electrical drawings and ensure EPMS content is captured.
